THE MAN IN THE MIRROR Documentary screening opened the world stage platform to Seeds Of Elevation, hosted by Suraj Odekunle.
Co – sponsored by True Identity and Hart Culture C.I.C. the award winning social enterprise firm. Over 25 Partner companies,
including Crème of the Crop Black Conscious and forward thinking Black Networking organisations. All companies were represented on the Company’s board that was mounted just outside of the Screening room, which is probably a record breaker in itself, to see so many black organisations supporting an independent start up micro-business. The launch of Seeds of Elevation came at an all important time regarding the shape of the industry. One of the major themes at the forefront of every cultural agenda and traditional cultural buzzword in the UK
is the ‘Return Of . . Something or the other. But, we know that this stems from ‘The Return of the Golden Race’ (Search: #ReturnOfTheGoldenRace), an ancient Kingdom that paved the way for civilisation as we know it today in Ancient Kemet – Egypt. That cultural platform and particularly high cultural and artistic period is rooted in the Golden Age (http://www.penn.museum/documents/publications/expedition/PDFs/35-2/Adams.pdf) , as documented by Outstanding Greek Scholars and established Men of the time, such as Plato and Socrates. The #GoldenEra looks at aligning ourselves to the best we can be as human beings and as part of a positive Golden Race, for better mental agility, capacity building and divine growth. This is one of the best and highest possible functionalities for melanised peoples. This is where we thrive, grow and lead.
Seeds Of Elevation and indeed its Team Leader, Suraj Odekunle has definitely stepped up the game, and placed himself as a Returning King? As shown in the Online Galleries and the classic shot that went viral across the Positive Media Network, of himself and four other MC’s including Toyin Agbetu. It shows that there is hope, when Business Leaders place themselves from a position of Positive Alignment. It is more likely that things will grow in a nurturing and divine environment. It is also likely that their projects at hand will have better longevity as it is directly connected to Ancient principality.
Brother Odekunle has thus made quite an impact on the Social Networking site – Facebook, where his ‘update’ of him wearing his show gown show down ideologue star – shaped embroidered 3 – piece (Yes, that is the Agbada, Buba and Sokoto) complete (don’t let us mention 13 – excuse the pun) with the tailored colourful fabric print (tailored at Hartculture.com ) clocked up over 100 likes in less than 24 hours.
The Man In The Mirror Documentary has formerly made Odekunle into a #Golden Personality to take note of in this Golden Era.
The documentary is auto – biographical, and features interviews of his past workers and current supporters. To be frank, this is the kind of Documentaries that should be made for home viewing stroke entertainment (which is actually edu – tainment). Surely, this would be more helpful to us as a community than East Enders? The Man In The Mirror Documentary is now available on shiny sparkling DVD’s.

So how did he do it, you resound? Odekunle mentioned at the launch, the many contributions that came in ‘small small’ from various Black organisations and individuals, and of course taking his own hard earned cash to invest it in the business and in the making of the Film.
Basic Arts Education - Hart Culture C.I.C. was of course a key sponsor for the basic operations (www.hartculture.com) on the Screening night. This goes to show that it is possible for the community to do something that is by the community, with the community and for the community. With this kind of co-operative collaborations, we can kiss bye to ‘compulsory education’, that seeks to keep spinning and regurgitating learning about our worst time in history ever - The Trans Atlantic Slave Trade!
Odekunle even employs a song named – ‘Miss Understood’ and ‘Slaveship’ in the 1:45hr Documentary DVD. Now, with the promise of Seeds Of Elevation, we can finally look to ensure that we set up our businesses for success, and ensure that the seeds that we plant for the next generation will be indeed, elevated. Finally, we are beginning to see the return of our Kings, through Positive Promotions and fostering more positive Black Images. Surely, this is progress?
What’s left to say, is that Odekunle has begun his project the right way. In collaboration in Alignment and in the love. There is nothing else left to expect from this young Golden Leader, other than what African success really looks like, understanding the importance of The Man In The Mirror, and ‘Who’ that Man In The Mirror really is?
Staying Positive is staying Golden.
